Mech Hybrid is a watch face in the spirit of a fine mechanical chronograph, except that each of its three sub-dials shows real data from your watch. Every surface is lit by the same light, coming from 10:30. The steel hands and applied indices catch it on one side and cast a soft shadow on the other. The recessed sub-dials are shaded as true cavities. As the hands turn, their lit facet follows the light, just as polished steel does on a real watch. THE DIAL • Navy sunburst finish with radial brushing and smoked edges • Applied steel indices, chamfered, with a polished end face and a drop shadow • Faceted hour and minute hands with a central ridge, moving continuously like a mechanical movement • Slim seconds hand with a red hub and ring counterweight • Beveled chapter ring and minute track • "MECH HYBRID" signature under 12 o'clock THE SUB-DIALS • 9 o'clock: heart rate, 40 to 200 bpm scale • 3 o'clock: current temperature and a weather icon (clear, partly cloudy, cloudy, rain, snow, storm, fog). The scale runs from -20 to +40 °C; the value follows your watch's °C/°F setting. • 6 o'clock: steps today, measured against your daily step goal (for example 7.4k) Each sub-dial is a recessed, snailed cavity with its own tapered needle, progress arc and curved label. DATE AND BATTERY • Framed date window at 4:30 • Battery level shown along the minute track: the ticks are tinted up to the current charge and turn amber below 20 % ALWAYS-ON MODE When your wrist is down, the face switches to a minimal always-on view: thin hand outlines and four markers on true black. The whole view shifts by a few pixels every minute, following the AMOLED burn-in protection rules. EFFICIENT BY DESIGN The static dial is rendered once and kept in memory. Each second, only the hands and values are redrawn. PRIVACY No permissions are required. All values (heart rate, steps, battery, weather) are read locally on the watch and are never sent anywhere. NOTES • Weather comes from the forecast your phone syncs through Garmin Connect. Without a recent sync, the sub-dial shows "--". • Heart rate shows "--" while the sensor is acquiring a reading or when the watch is not worn. • Layout scales to each supported round screen.
