Help, settings and every Glean face: glean-watch.github.io New faces on Facebook: facebook.com/gleanwatchfaces and on Instagram: instagram.com/gleanwatchfaces Sköld is a round shield, made to fit a round watch. Seven boards of dark wood with their grain, knots and seams; an iron rim with its lip catching the light; a nail head at every hour; an iron dome at the centre; and two steel hands, each a blade outlined in black. Engraved in the rim are the 24 runes of the elder futhark, in their order, each drawn as the straight strokes it was cut with. They are the progress: one by one they glow like embers as your steps fill their goal, from twelve clockwise, until the whole rim is alight. They can follow floors, intensity minutes, Body Battery, battery or stress instead. Three readings are carved into the boards at nine, three and six, each any of fifteen sources: heart rate, the weather and Body Battery to start, or steps, calories, distance, floors, intensity minutes, stress, pressure, elevation, the next sunrise or sunset, notifications or battery. The date, in your watch's own language, and battery and alerts sit under twelve. Five paints: Oak (bare wood), Blood, Raven, Frost (with an icy glow) and Moss, each painting every other board. The always-on mode keeps the lit runes as fine lines, the hands' outlines and the boss.
