Feedback goes straight to the roadmap: [email protected] Boat-mounted stroke rate and your training plan, for sprint kayak (K1, K2, K4) and sprint canoe (C1, C2). Mount the watch on the boat: the stroke rate comes from the hull, not your wrist. YOUR WORKOUTS, ON THE WATCH • Build a workout at locus.fit, import your week into the Locus Fit iPhone app, or follow what your coach or club sets. The day's sessions sync to the watch by themselves: when you open the app and every 3 hours. • Two sessions in a day? The watch opens on the one planned closest to now, and DOWN steps to the other. Save a session and the next one comes up. • The start screen draws the session as bars, one per piece. START records your warmup, the screen tells you what START does next, and START again counts you into piece 1. • Each piece shows its zone and a countdown, your stroke rate and heart rate against the piece's target bands, and your pace. Distance pieces count down the metres on GPS, sets on a cycle keep to the clock, and rests count down in blue. • Buzzes count you into each piece and say which way you're off target: a double pulse to ease off, a long pulse to pick it up. Heart rate only buzzes when you're over the zone. Switch any alert off, or add beeps, in the Alerts menu. TRAIN AS A GROUP • Group Start: anyone presses START in the warmup, and every watch in the group that's warming up counts down together and goes on the same GO. • The workout screen shows how many of your group's watches are on the water. • Missed the sync? On most watches the group's workout passes from a teammate's watch to yours over ANT. FREE, NO ACCOUNT NEEDED • Live stroke rate (SPM) tuned for sprint kayak and sprint canoe • Distance per stroke (DPS), live and in your FIT file • Pace, speed, heart rate, distance and timer on a data screen of 1 to 6 fields • Stroke-rate zone alerts for free paddling • Auto Lap every 100 m, 250 m, 500 m or 1 km • Warmup Start and Cooldown, kept out of your main piece • SPM, DPS, roll and surge charts in Garmin Connect, with stroke totals in the activity summary • ANT+ stroke-rate broadcast for coach displays • 125 Garmin watches, from Forerunner 55 and Instinct 2 to fenix 8 and Venu 4 LOCUS FIT ON THE WEB, IPHONE AND ANDROID • Web: locus.fit, on any phone or computer. Build workouts, link your watch, and connect Garmin so your sessions come back to Locus Fit. • iPhone: locus.fit/apps/iphone (TestFlight beta). Your plan and your sessions, and your week imported from screenshots. • Android: locus.fit/apps/android. Locus Fit with Google sign-in and notifications. • How the watch app links and syncs, step by step: locus.fit/garmin LINK YOUR WATCH On the watch, open the menu (hold UP, or long-press the screen), choose Link Account and scan the code with your phone, or type it in at locus.fit/pair. Watches without the code screen link with a token from locus.fit. MOUNT YOUR WATCH Stroke detection reads the hull, so the watch has to be fixed to the boat: foredeck, rail or factory mount. Worn on the wrist or taped on, the signal suffers. Mounts: locus.fit/holder SMALLER WATCHES Instinct 2, Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct E, Instinct Crossover and Descent G1 record and show live metrics but don't sync workouts. Forerunner 55/245/645/935, fenix 5/6, vivoactive 3, Venu Sq and a few older models sync, but link with a token instead of the code, and sit out the watch-to-watch relay and Auto Lap. WHAT THE APP SENDS On most watches, a linked one sends a summary of each saved session (time, distance, strokes, stroke rate, pieces) to your Locus Fit account, and every one sends an anonymous daily usage count. What is new

Locus Fit 2.0 (beta) puts your training plan on the watch. - Your workouts sync to the watch: link once by QR code (hold UP, Link Account) and each day's sessions arrive on their own, whether you built them at locus.fit, imported them, or your coach set them. The watch syncs every time you open the app and every 3 hours. - Your sessions on Locus Fit without connecting Garmin: a linked watch sends a summary of each saved session (time, distance, strokes, stroke rate, pieces; never location or heart rate) and marks the planned workout done. An anonymous daily usage count helps us see how the app is used. Both switch off in Settings. Not on 128 KB watches. - Two sessions in a day: the watch opens on the one planned closest to now, shows 1/2 beside the sport name, and DOWN steps to the other. Save a session and the next one comes up. - New start screen: today's workout as bars. START WARMUP records your warmup, and the screen says what START will do next (START: GO IN 5). - New workout screen: piece, zone and countdown, stroke rate and heart rate against each piece's targets, pace underneath, rests in blue. Laid out for every screen, from Instinct to fenix 8. - Distance pieces end on GPS distance and count down the metres; sets on a cycle ("on 4'") take their rest from the cycle. - Group Start: press START in the warmup and every watch in your training group counts down together and goes on the same GO. The workout screen shows how many of the group are on the water, and the group's workout passes from watch to watch over ANT (not on 128 KB watches). - Alerts menu: each buzz on or off, beeps optional. Heart rate only buzzes when you're over the zone; off target, a double pulse means ease off and a long pulse means pick it up. - Settings regrouped into Session, Data Fields, Alerts, Auto Lap and Keep Screen On, with the start countdown (off, 3, 5 or 10 s) under Session. Lists open on what's set. - Auto Lap in free paddling: every 100 m, 250 m, 500 m or 1 km, with a split banner (not on Instinct or 128 KB watches). - Long workout names wrap instead of running off the edge. - Recording carries on through notifications and step-goal screens. - 46 more watches (125 in all), and a cleaner start on watches without a gyroscope.
