Description

This datafield was created to allow investigation into the affect of temperature on aerobic activity performance. # Features * Select between ambient air temperature, feels like temperature or approximate skin temperature using the watch internal temperature sensor to be displayed. * Saves selected parameter trend data in the FIT file for viewing with the activity record in Garmin Connect. * Temperature units follow your watch's temperature units setting. NOTE: Wear your watch snugly around your wrist for best temperature measurements. Some Garmin watch models may not have an internal temperature sensor. If using this for swimming, note that if you are using Garmin's pool swim activity the internal temperature sensor may be turned off and not available. See: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2021/10/fascinating-reason-temperature.html # FULL Version Features * Selectable wet bulb globe temperature for display. * Selectable external temperature sensor (Garmin TEMPE) temperature for display. * Option to display estimated core body temperature (Requires an chest HR strap if using an Edge computer). * Option to save any or all temperature parameter trend data in the FIT file for viewing with the activity record in Garmin Connect. * Option to get WBGT and weather data from a premium Tomorrow.io account (API key should be set in this case, otherwise leave the setting blank) # About WBGT Wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) is an international standard metric for measuring the expected level of heat stress on the human body. It takes into account air temperature, humidity, windspeed and solar radiation. (Heat index or humidex, on the other hand only takes into account temperature and humidity) Most athletic organizations use WBGT and a 4 range scale as a basis for prescribing activity/rest intervals and hydration, (or if sports should be permitted at all) during hot weather. It is also used by the military and OSHA. For more information, see: https://wattsupwiththat.com/2023/09/10/what-is-wbgt/ Also see my related Heat Stress+ app: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/74ba8067-871a-4438-a9c1-90b9577b01ed # Payment For the FULL version, use this link to pay US$1.60 via Stripe (no account required; credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay accepted). https://buy.stripe.com/28o4hVfYE4gB6swf2s 如需通过微信或支付宝付款，请使用此链接：https://buy.stripe.com/aEU4hV13K5kFeZ27A1 Alternative payment via Paypal: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/trudelta/1.60USD Important instructions to get your unlock code quickly: https://ko-fi.com/post/Payments-via-PayPal-Z8Z6AIK78 Payment via Stripe is recommended because you will get the unlock code immediately on the payment confirmation screen.
