Description

Temperature and wind on their own do not tell you whether a spray will land where you want it. Sprayday works out Delta T (the gap between the dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperature, Stull 2011) for every hour of the forecast, checks it against the 2-8 band and the 10 limit from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, adds the wind band, the risk of a surface temperature inversion around sunset and sunrise, and the rain-free time of your product, and gives every hour a plain GO, CAUTION or STOP. The first screen shows the verdict for right now with Delta T, wind speed and direction, and how long it stays dry. Swipe for the hour strips of Delta T and wind with the best window marked, a page that says why (inversion hours, first rain, product, forecast horizon), and the spray log. Start and stop a spray from the menu and the watch records time, temperature, humidity, wind and direction at both ends, and buzzes if conditions turn to STOP while you are spraying. Sprayday is a planning aid: always follow the product label and local rules. WHAT IT DOES - Delta T per hour from temperature and humidity, with the 2-8 band and the 10 limit - Wind band of 3-15 km/h by default, adjustable to your nozzle and country (min 0/3/5, max 10/15/20/25) - Inversion risk per hour: calm, clear nights, the hour before sunset, fog, and the morning break-up (+5 °C above the night low and wind of at least 7 km/h) - Rain-free time per product (four profiles, 30 minutes to 24 hours) checked against the hourly rain chance - The best spray window in the coming hours, also in the glance - Spray log of the last 100 sprays with start and end conditions, plus an alert when it turns to STOP during a spray - Five languages, metric or imperial following your watch WHAT IT NEEDS - A phone connected to Garmin Connect for the hourly weather forecast (usually about 12 hours ahead) - GPS or the phone's weather location for sunrise and sunset
