Description

This MAX FONT Data Field for Runners App achieves maximum readability by using largest possible font that can fit! And waste no screen space on descriptive labels. So, if you have a hard time reading Garmin’s small numbers, like me at the end of a hard race, or have poor eyesight and prefer not to run with classes, this App is for you! It can be configured to show commonly used running metrics like pace, distance, and elapsed time, just like Garmin’s built-in data fields. Plus, some extra useful rolling average pace metrics. Available metrics (see also the picture with table) are: • PACES: current pace (averaged over ~5 secs), average pace over entire run, average pace over last elapsed/rolling 1 km, average pace last 4 min, average pace last 400m, LAP pace, & last LAP pace • DISTANCES: elapsed distance & LAP distance • TIME: elapsed time, LAP time & last LAP time • OTHER: HR, HR %Max. %HRR, HR Zone, cadence, & Total ascent Rolling averages like “average pace over the last elapsed 1 km” is like Garmin’s “LAP Pace” (with Auto-LAP for every 1 km) except it does not get reset at every new LAP. Rolling averages are recommended for steady pacing in racing and training. The “Average last 400m” is intended for track running. If your Garmin device is configured for miles, not km, paces will be displayed in min/mile and distances in miles, otherwise min/km and km. Rolling paces will remain per elapsed 1 km and 400m. Total ascent is in meters or feet depending on device configuration. This App may be inserted in any data field layout on your Garmin device. Inserting the App in a data screen with full screen (single field) layout, will make it display either 3, 4 or 6 configurable running metrics, all using largest possible font that can fit! An identical clone App is also available for download. See https://apps.garmin.com/apps/9c0e5f74-4b61-4e40-82c0-99b3dbae1a45 This App is completely free! But, if you like it, please leave a review to help promote the App. And check out my other Apps that all have focus on pacing with readability. Happy Running ! Hr. Mortensen
