Wakeboard is a Garmin watch app built for cable and boat wakeboarding. Choose your ride mode, wait for GPS — or skip it if needed — and record your session directly on your wrist. The app tracks distance, live speed, max speed, active ride time, runs, longest run, best run speed, spins, jumps with height, heart rate, and calories. Sessions are saved as native Garmin wakeboarding activities with wakeboarding-specific data fields and lap-style run markers where supported. Key Features • Cable and Boat ride modes • GPS distance and speed tracking with smoothing and outlier filtering • Start with GPS, or start without GPS when a fix is not available • Live data pages for distance, calories, heart rate, status, speed, ride time, runs, and spins • Automatic run detection with live run info (distance and average speed per run) • Jump detection with height — counts jumps and tracks your best jump using the accelerometer • Run flash and jump flash after each completed run or jump • Session summary with distance, max speed, best run speed, ride time, runs, longest run, spins, and jumps • FIT recording as a Garmin wakeboarding activity with wake-specific developer fields • Gyroscope-based spin counting — sensitivity configurable in the app settings: 180°, 270°, or 360° • Haptic feedback for ride start, run events, spins, and jumps • MET-based calorie estimate using your Garmin profile weight • Battery indicator during GPS acquisition • Metric and imperial units • English and German UI Tip You can adjust the spin detection sensitivity (180° / 270° / 360°) directly in the app settings on your phone via the Connect IQ app. Review Notes This app records GPS, motion sensor, and heart-rate data only during an active session. It saves activities locally through Garmin activity recording and does not transmit data to external services.

V2.3.1• Stronger screen lock during recording: short taps and button presses are blocked — only a long press (about 1 second) opens the session menu. Water spray and accidental touches can no longer pause, save, or discard your session • Jump detection now validated by the barometer: a jump is only counted when the watch confirms a real altitude gain. Eliminates the false positives that previously happened during turns and carving • Jump height is now measured directly from barometric altitude change, not estimated from airtime — much more accurate on devices with a built-in altimeter Note on jump tracking: We're continuously improving the jump detection algorithm. We ride and test it ourselves on the water every weekend — and any feedback from real sessions helps us make it better. Thanks for being part of that. -What's new in v2.3 Garmin-style session menu: press SELECT or BACK during a session to open a native menu — Save, Resume, or Discard. Session is automatically paused when the menu opens; pressing Back in the menu resumes without saving. Screen lock during active recording — water and accidental touches no longer trigger any actions. Kicker jump detection improved: minimum airtime reduced from 667 ms to 333 ms, small kicker jumps from ~0.14 m are now counted. Active ride time now correctly shown in Garmin Connect activity details. What's New in v2.1.0 • Jump tracking: counts jumps and estimates height using the accelerometer • New GPS waiting screen with animated wakeboarder icon • Mode selection redesigned: visual CABLE / BOAT toggle, back button now correctly exits to watch face • Session summary optimized for all screen sizes (Fenix 7S, FR255, FR165, FR570, Epix 2, Fenix 8, Venu Sq 2, and more) • Added support for Venu Sq 2 and Venu Sq 2 Music Edition
