Description

CAUTION: If you are experiencing sleep tracking outages - the app on watch is killed by Garmin - not running in the morning which happens on some specific models please try this version of the app (see description): https://apps.garmin.com/apps/ae737b5d-02d6-45cb-a46f-5be7d857c152 This is a NEW version of Sleep as Android Garmin watch with many bug fixes and more suitable for newer devices. Please report any issues! We are actively working on this version bringing fixes every day. At the moment we have this 100% working on our testing devices - Forerunner 55, Instinct E and Vivoactive 4S. But it seems Garmin devices is a diverse zoo and every device behaves a bit differently, so please let us know what is NOT working. But we woudl also appreciate any positive review if this is working well for you to see that this is worth the effort! At the moment we did disable HRV and SPO2 gathering due to this Garmin bug: https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/f/discussion/7471/random-array-out-of-bounds-error-in-sensor-data-callback#pifragment-1298=3 But we plan to reintroduce it for some models later on, so please stay tuned.. What is new

20260526 - Fix for a crash when long pressing the tracking screen 20260519 - Faster connecting - Not disabling backlight as this caused issues on some devices - Support for Instinct E and similar subscreen 20260506 - Reverted activity recording as it is using too much battery on different Garmin watches - probably because GPS and hig hfrequency sensors are active - unfortunatelly it seems this cannot be optimized - Because we do not have activity recording we cannot promt starting app on watch as this would make Garmin kill the app soon after start 20260504 - Sleep tracing is not activity recording this makes sleep tracking more persistent and prevents the system from closing it preliminarily This is a complete rewrite of the original Garmin app for Sleep as Android. We have improved interoperability with newer Garmin models, rewamped the UI to mae it minimalist but functional, fixes many issues in sensor data gathering etc...
