Description
Eleven watch faces in one app. True black, every face configurable, with UV index and air quality.

Try one face free first: Lumen Free – 1 of 11 is the complete Lumen face on its own, at no cost. https://apps.garmin.com/apps/04566bcf-6cea-453b-9cfe-63b4308d6dd4
AIR QUALITY TAKES A FEW MINUTES THE FIRST TIME. Right after you install, the air quality reading shows two dashes. That is normal, not a fault. It usually fills in within about 30 minutes. Your watch needs your phone nearby with Garmin Connect, and it needs weather from your phone at least once, because that is how it knows roughly where you are.
Lumen - a large thin clock with four readings you choose
Terminal - a clock over four rows of text, like a terminal screen
Kapital - a bold poster-style clock with three readings along the bottom
Arc - a light clock inside a ring that shows the day's sunlight
MGRS - a tactical display with a graph across the middle
Nixie - glowing tube digits
Gridlock - a monospace clock over a grid of four readings
Doto - a dot-matrix panel
Split-Flap - a departure board of flipping cards
Concourse - a green dot-matrix station board
Horizon - a clock over a sun and moon dial
Every face is true black. On an AMOLED screen a black pixel is switched off, so battery use stays close to Garmin's own faces. Nothing animates.
COMPLICATIONS
Every face has at least one cell you set yourself, from the Connect IQ app on your phone. Choose from temperature, UV index, air quality, battery, Body Battery, heart rate, stress, sleep score (on watches that provide it), notifications, steps, calories and the next sunrise or sunset. Or set a cell to None to leave it empty.
Colors tell you how a reading is doing, not what it is. Green is good. Yellow, amber, coral and violet mean it is getting worse. The same colour means the same thing on every face that uses colour this way.
MGRS also lets you pick the date format and what the graph across the middle shows: Body Battery, heart rate, stress or air pressure over the last few hours, steps against your goal, this week's intensity minutes, daylight remaining, or a 24-hour day tape.
THE DIMMED SCREEN
When your wrist drops, the face you chose stays on the screen and gets dimmer. Nothing moves and nothing blinks. The time and every reading stay exactly where they were. Only decoration disappears.
UV AND AIR QUALITY
Neither is available as a normal Garmin watch-face field, so this app puts both on the glass itself.
UV comes from your watch's own weather data. Nothing is sent anywhere to get it.
Air quality comes from the internet. About every 30 minutes, your watch sends your location, rounded to about 11 km, to an air quality service and shows the result. Open-Meteo is the default. It is free and needs no account. You can use OpenWeatherMap, WAQI or IQAir instead with your own free key.
If you live in the US, consider WAQI or IQAir. Open-Meteo uses a computer model of the atmosphere. WAQI and IQAir use real monitoring stations, including the EPA's, so their numbers match what your local news and AirNow report.
Air quality only updates while a cell on the face you are using shows it. Set that cell to something else and nothing is sent. It also stops on its own after about six hours away from the face.
PRIVACY
No account, no analytics, no tracking. Your rounded location goes to the air quality service you chose and nowhere else. Nothing is ever sent to me. There is no server. The full privacy policy is linked on this page.
SETTINGS
Everything is set from the Connect IQ app on your phone. There is no settings screen on the watch. The clock follows your watch's 12 or 24 hour setting. Temperature can be Auto, Celsius or Fahrenheit.
WATCHES
29 Garmin watches with a round AMOLED screen. See Compatible Devices on this page. Smaller screens get their own drawing of every face, not the big one shrunk down.
