EARTH IN REAL TIME: the globe is computed from the true position of the sun at this very moment - the day/night line moves with the hours, the globe is centred on your own part of the world wherever you live, and a golden dot marks where you are. LIVING WEATHER: on every wrist raise, the local weather is ANIMATED - rain falls from the icon and forms puddles, snow leaves traces on the ground, fog spreads and thunderstorms flash lightning along the rim. The heart beats at your real rate and the walker walks. To save battery, the "Animations" setting (Garmin Connect app → the watch face settings) lets you reduce the animations or switch them off. AROUND THE EARTH, A RING OF 15 LIVE INDICATORS: battery, heart rate, resting heart rate, SpO2, respiration, stress, Body Battery, temperature, steps, floors, distance, the move bar, total calories, altitude, and local weather with its temperature. THE SKY: a solar arc in the colours of the day (orange at sunrise, gold at noon, pink then violet at sunset) and a lunar arc; the sun and moon sit exactly where they are in your sky right now. Under the date: sunrise, sunset, and the illuminated fraction of the moon. ORRERY MODE (ALWAYS-ON): the solar system in real time, with the eight planets at today's positions - Saturn with its ring, Jupiter with its bands, Earth circled in gold. It is the Always-On screen, and a long press on the screen (about two seconds) switches between Earth and the solar system at any time. NEW — "Animations" setting. In the Garmin Connect app, open this watch face's settings and choose: Full (10 frames per second, as before), Battery saver (5 frames per second: easier on the battery, the walking figure looks a little choppier) or None (a still image). Animations are also shorter: 15 seconds at most per wrist raise. RESTING HEART RATE now shows Garmin's own 7-day average (the figure in Garmin Connect), so it changes from day to day instead of staying stuck. SMOOTHER GLOW — the sun, the moon phases and the sunrise / sunset icons no longer have a hard-edged orange disc around them. LIGHTER LICENCE CHECK — once the watch face is unlocked, it no longer wakes up every 5 minutes: once an hour is enough. PREVIOUS UPDATE — FIX: the "IQ!" symbol. The watch face could occasionally show the "IQ!" symbol (low memory) after a while, especially after many wrist raises or during animated weather (rain, snow, storm). Images are now released when the watch goes to sleep and wakes up, so memory stays stable. No visual change. EARLIER — a more accurate indicator ring. SLEEP SCORE is gone: Garmin does not make the sleep score available to watch faces, so it could never be shown. It is replaced by your RESTING HEART RATE, which your watch measures overnight. ACTIVE / RESTING CALORIES give way to DAILY DISTANCE and the MOVE BAR: a watch face can only read the TOTAL calories from Garmin — the active/resting split shown in the Garmin Connect app is not available to watch faces, so those numbers could only be estimated. Total calories is still shown, and it is exact. BODY BATTERY no longer flickers out: the last known value stays on screen. New, clearer icons for these metrics.
