An analog face that reads like an instrument panel. Four colour-coded gauges sit on the rim at 12, 3, 6 and 9, each showing a value and where it stands in its range, with curved lines for the date and your day between them. FEATURES • Four gradient gauges on the cardinal points, each showing any of 17 values or switched off. The minute track fills the windows between them, and the place of any gauge you switch off • Range gauges show today's low and high at their ends with a knob at the current value: temperature (coloured by the temperature itself), heart rate since midnight, and altitude and barometric pressure over the last 24 hours • Level gauges fill their gradient: battery, Body Battery, steps against your goal, stress, floors, intensity minutes against your weekly goal, Pulse Ox, recovery time, sleep score, solar input, UV index and moon phase. Daylight runs a knob from sunrise to sunset and shows the next sun event • An upper curved line with the date (long, short, or with the week number) or your own text • A lower curved line with two items of your choice: the time of your next calendar event, the next sunrise or sunset, sunrise and sunset, notifications, weather, a second time zone, altitude, pressure, heart rate, calories, distance, steps, battery, Body Battery, week number, moon phase, the date or your own text • Nine colour schemes: Red, Amber, Volt, Cyan, Rose, Ice, Bronze, Mono and Night vision, and five colours for the values • Gauges in their own colours, the accent colour or white • Baton or sword hands, and a seconds hand that ticks, sweeps smoothly while the watch is awake, or stays off • Red night vision for the dark: pick it as a colour scheme, or in the Connect IQ app from sunset to sunrise or always • Always-on mode for AMOLED: dim hand outlines, hour marks and the date, shifted every minute to protect the display • 12 or 24 hour, metric or statute, as your watch is set SETTINGS On fēnix 8, fēnix 8 Pro, fēnix 9, fēnix 9 Pro, tactix 8, quatix 8, Forerunner 970 and Venu X1, customise it with Garmin's watch face editor: hold MENU, Watch Face, CARDINAL. Data sets the four gauges and the two items of the lower line. Styles sets the hands and the gauge colours. Accent colour picks the colour scheme (or night vision), Data colour the colour of the values. Customize, in the same menu, sets the upper line, the seconds hand, night vision, the second time zone and the pressure unit. The Connect IQ app has all of that, plus what the editor cannot offer: UV index, moon phase or off for a gauge, and sunrise and sunset, second time zone, distance, week number, moon phase, your own text or off for the lower line. Until then they show as -- • The pressure gauge shows the barometer itself, as measured where you are; the pressure item on the lower line shows sea level pressure PRIVACY CARDINAL does not collect, store or send any data. Your location is used on the watch only, to work out sunrise and sunset. Health values are read on the watch only, to show them on the face.
