Description

Padel Ultimate keeps the score of your padel match on your wrist - one press per point - and saves the whole match as a Garmin activity. Play the match. Know your game. "Simple. Clear. Effective. Excellent." "I tested almost all the apps available in the store to track points in padel and this one is by far my favorite." - from the Connect IQ store reviews Note: this is the current Padel Ultimate, actively maintained and updated. If you used an older Padel Ultimate listing, switch to this one. ◆ Instant start: the home screen shows the format you are about to play. Press Start, answer who serves (or let the watch remember), and play. Every other press, tap or swipe opens the one menu: match setup, history, settings. ◆ Standard mode: Best of 3, Best of 5 or unlimited sets, or a 9-game Pro Set, with an optional final Super Tiebreak. Golden Point, Silver Point, Star Point or traditional Advantage. ◆ Mexicano / Americano evenings: total points, first to X points, timed or unlimited, with automatic serve rotation - many rounds kept as one session, or enter round results only. ◆ Server tracking: a clear indicator shows who serves and from which side; switch the side, the player or the team from the menu. ◆ Easy scoring: buttons (Up / Down) or touch (tap the top or the bottom half); Back undoes the last point. A vibration confirms every point, a distinct one confirms Undo (both can be turned off). A Touchscreen switch in Settings stops a wet or gloved glass from scoring a point (on watches whose buttons can do everything). ◆ Live view: the score, the serve, live heart rate, time of day and match duration; a pause option. ◆ On-watch history: all-time stats plus recent matches with set-by-set results, set times and the longest game (on supported watches). ◆ Match setup that remembers: set your format and rules once and they apply every time. ◆ Interrupted mid-play? Open the app again and continue the match. ◆ Garmin Connect: every match is saved as a Padel activity with duration, heart rate, steps, game-by-game lap splits and, if you want it, your location - and the final score on its own Game Result line. Instructions: padelultimate.net/how-to Found an issue, want a feature, or is your device not listed? Contact us at [email protected]. Known issue: on some newer Garmin watches (Forerunner 255/265/955/965, Venu 3 and fenix 8 families) the watch can keep the GPS receiver and the heart-rate sensor in workout mode after an app that recorded an activity has closed - even after a properly saved match. This is an acknowledged Garmin firmware bug, not something the app controls; the app switches everything off when you save. The sign: the green light on the back stays on after you close the app, and the battery drops a few percent per hour. Until Garmin fixes it, restart the watch after playing (hold LIGHT, Power off, then on).

What is new

6.6 - Couple of small fixes 6.5 - the biggest update yet! - A new home screen: the format you are about to play stands at the top, Start plays, and every other press, tap or swipe opens the menu - Now in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish and Portuguese - eight languages - Save or Discard at the end of a match lands you back home - the app no longer closes itself. From here you can easily start next match with the same setup - Redesigned live, results and history screens - Live heart rate during the match, and a heart-rate trace on the results screen (on supported watches) - Americano / Mexicano evenings: many rounds as one session, or enter round results only - History keeps set times and the longest game (on supported watches) - A Touchscreen switch in Settings, so a wet or gloved glass cannot score a point (on watches whose buttons can do everything) - A match interrupted mid-play can be resumed 5.14 - Enable "real Padel activity" mitigation for Forerunner 55 5.13 - Fix for stubborn Garmin bug where older devices don't know what Padel is, so it falls back to Tennis. Now every activity is Padel. 5.12 - Fixes a startup crash on some devices - On watches whose firmware predates the Padel activity type (e.g. the fenix 6 series), matches are recorded as Tennis for now - scores and stats are unaffected. Padel classification will return for confirmed compatible watches in a future update. If your device records the activity as Tennis and you are willing to tryout the beta app, please write to [email protected] 5.11 - Added support for the new Garmin watches - Small fixes and internal improvements. - Coming soon: automatic match sync to your phone. This update adds the permissions sync will need (internet, background, sensors, fitness profile). Nothing is collected or sent - all the data stays on the watch. When the sync launches, you will have an option to opt-in to see the stats on your phone. 5.10 - Fix for falling back to Tennis on older devices 5.8 - Star Point - Fix serving side for odd Mexicano serve intervals 3,5,7 and add these into permanent settings options 5.7 - Better activity type handling for certain older devices 5.6 - Memory optimizations for some older devices 5.5 - For Mex/Amer serve switch, now you can set 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 points. - You can End Match manually - press Start and End Match. - Match History page is added. Go to main Settings and History. There you will find basic stats of all matches played like winning percentage, total hours played, etc. and also last 10 matches. You can delete entries one by one or Clear all if you choose. - Added Scoring option in Standard game setup. You can set it to Game by Game, if you with to increase on every game won, or Point by Point, to increase score on every point. - Renamed '3 sets' and '5 sets' options to 'Best of 3' and 'Best of 5' to avoid confusion. - Renamed Mexicano to Mex/Amer, to point out that the scoring mode is the same for Mexicano and Americano. 5.4 - Added GPS Tracking option in settings. On the pre-match screen, GPS is underlined with a colored line representing the GPS signal strength. If you are indoors, the GPS may be poor. 5.3 - Added "Reset Score" option in the menu to reset the current score to 0-0, but keep the activity active. - Removed Touch option from the Menu. Users with touch only devices could lock themselves out if they disable touch. If you want to disable touch, please do so in the watch main settings. - Battery and memory optimizations. 5.2 - Fallback to Tennis as the activity on older devices where Padel is not present 5.1 - Added Silver Point option - Added an option to swtitch serving side, player or even team in the menu - Yellow server line on deuce on Golden Point indicates that the receiving team has an option to choose the serving side 5.0 - Added Mexicano Mode: Support for Total Points, First to X, and Timed match options. - Pro Set: Added 9-game Pro Set option to Standard games. - V
