Description
Summit LCD brings the look of the classic digital watches of the 80s to your Garmin watch: big segment digits and a tight panel grid, filled edge to edge on the round screen. Behind it sits a proper outdoor instrument.
Instrument row
Pick altitude (meters or feet, following your watch), barometer (sea-level pressure in hPa) or a live compass band with degree ticks and exact heading.
Data cells
Three cells you choose yourself: Body Battery, steps, calories, sunrise or sunset, or distance. The bottom row shows sunrise and sunset in segment digits next to your current heart rate.
Five themes
Khaki, LCD green, ice blue, grey and Night (light segments on black).
Always-on
On AMOLED watches the always-on display shows a thin, minimal segment clock that moves slightly every minute to protect the screen. On MIP watches the full panel stays visible, with optional seconds in low power.
Honest by design
- Sunrise and sunset need a known position. The first time, a recent GPS activity or saved position is required.
- The compass is live when you raise your wrist. In low power it shows "---" instead of an old heading.
- When your watch has no data for a field, it shows "--". Never made-up numbers.
- Body Battery, heart rate and barometer need a watch with those sensors.
Works on
Round fenix watches (6, 7, 8 and 9 series), epix (Gen 2), Forerunner (70, 165, 255, 265, 955, 965, 970), Venu (2, 2 Plus, 2S, 3, 3S, 4), vivoactive 5 and 6, Enduro and Enduro 3, Descent Mk2 and Mk3, MARQ (Gen 1 and Gen 2) and Instinct 3 AMOLED.
Setup
Open Garmin Connect on your phone: My Device / Activities & App Management / Watch Faces / Summit LCD / Settings. Choose theme, instrument row and the three data cells there.
Summit LCD collects no data and has no ads.
Segment digits are based on the DSEG font family by keshikan (SIL OFL 1.1).
