# CPR Assistant **CPR timing and intervention logging for Garmin smartwatches** CPR Assistant is a smartwatch application designed for resuscitation training and simulation. The application does not collect patient-identifying information. ## How to Use CPR Assistant **Starting a session** Press **START** to begin a CPR session. The app automatically tracks 2-minute CPR cycles and the total elapsed time. **Recording interventions** Use the physical buttons to quickly log interventions: - **UP** — Adrenaline - **DOWN** — Amiodarone - **START** — Defibrillation - **BACK twice** — Undo the last intervention (within 3 seconds) Each intervention is automatically timestamped. **Timers and alerts** - At **10 seconds remaining**, the app provides a short sound and vibration alert. - At **0 seconds**, a stronger sound and vibration alert signals the end of the cycle. The next cycle starts automatically. - The main screen displays the total CPR time, medication counts, time since the last administration, and defibrillation count. **Resetting a CPR cycle** Press and hold the countdown timer on the touchscreen to restart the current 2-minute cycle. Alternatively, open **MENU → DOWN** to reset the cycle using physical buttons. Resetting a cycle does not affect the total CPR time or medication timers. **Ending and reviewing a session** Open **MENU → START** to end and save the session. Confirm the action when prompted. From the home screen, press **DOWN** to browse saved sessions. Use **UP/DOWN** to navigate, **START** to view the intervention timeline, and **BACK** to return. **Important:** CPR Assistant is intended for training and simulation only.
