Description

Dryland turns the watts from your swim ergometer into the pool pace they are worth. Enter your CSS (or a recent 400 and 200 time), do one power test on the erg, and every stroke on the bench shows up as a pace per 100 m: green when you are on the set's target, red when you fall behind. It reads power and stroke rate straight from the erg over ANT+ (the Vasa power meter broadcasts the ANT+ bike power profile), falls back to Bluetooth on watches without ANT+, and works with typed-in watts if your erg has no transmitter. Sets run like they do on the pool deck: repeats by distance or time, with a send-off or a fixed rest, and a countdown buzz before each start. WHAT IT DOES - Live estimated pace per 100 m from watts: pace = CSS × (CP / P)^(1/3), the cube law of water drag - Power test on the erg (two all-out efforts) gives your critical power and W' with the two-parameter model - Live W' balance and time until it runs out when you swim above critical power - Five training zones around CSS, shown in watts so you can steer by the erg display - Eight built-in workouts (CSS 10×100, threshold 4×400, endurance, speed 16×50, pyramid, broken 1500, time intervals) plus three of your own - Send-off clock with rest countdown, missed send-offs counted, skip or end a repeat with BACK - Pool predictions for 200 to 3800 from your 400/200 times - Stroke rate from the erg, or from the wrist when the erg does not send it - Records the session as a swim or cardio activity in Garmin Connect, with power, stroke rate, distance and a lap per repeat - Summary with time in zones and every repeat; history of 40 sessions and a critical power trend - Metres or yards, weekly distance goal, glance with your rolling 7-day total WHAT IT NEEDS - A swim ergometer with a power meter (ANT+ bike power or Bluetooth cycling power), or its display to read watts from - One pool CSS (or 400 + 200 time) and one power test for the pace estimate; the estimate is a guide, not a measurement
