Description

Just Ring Forecast is an analog watch face built around the weather: an hourly forecast chart across the top of the dial, six data fields curved along the bezel and two more along the progress arcs at the bottom. WEATHER CHART The top of the dial shows the next 12 hours from Garmin Weather: temperature line with a colour fill (blue to red), cloud band, UV and precipitation-chance bars, wind line and, optionally, humidity, plus a yellow daylight bar from sunrise to sunset. Each layer has its own switch, the hours under the chart can be hidden to make the chart taller, and the values printed on the chart can be temperature, UV, humidity, wind, clouds or precipitation. Above the chart sits the weather icon with the current temperature (Garmin or OpenWeatherMap). BEZEL The bezel band carries six fields of 60 degrees each, read clockwise on the upper half and the other way on the lower half, with the hour indexes acting as separators. Put a wide value in the top slot (coordinates, MGRS, location, weather condition, full date or training status) and the three upper slots merge into one 180-degree field; the indexes adapt. The band colour is the theme's, or a solar-day band in gold or sky blue (night, dawn, day, dusk with a white dot at the current time, text black on the day part) - a tap in the centre cycles the three. The dot colour has its own setting. FIELDS AND ARCS Twelve configurable fields: six on the bezel, one at the top, one below the chart, one on each side of the hands, one at the bottom and two curved along the progress arcs at the bottom. Around ninety options each: steps, floors, distance, calories, active minutes, altitude, heart rate, resting heart rate, body battery, stress, respiration, SpO2, VO2 max, recovery time, sleep score, training status, weekly run and bike distance, battery, notifications, week number, secondary time, UTC, sunrise and sunset, moon rise, set and phase, solar intensity, weight, and the full weather set with Garmin and OpenWeatherMap variants. The date can be shown as the day in a coloured box with the weekday or the month. The two bottom arcs are progress bars with their own colours: battery, steps, floors, calories (with your goal), active minutes, move bar, Bluetooth, solar, body battery, stress, recovery, sleep, pulse ox, humidity, clouds, precipitation, daylight, a 12-segment UV bar and a heart-rate zone bar. Pressing a field opens the matching Garmin app. WEATHER AND OPENWEATHERMAP Garmin Weather works with no setup and feeds the chart and every current-conditions field. OpenWeatherMap (OWM) is optional and adds air quality, moon rise and set from OWM, visibility, gusts, rain and snow amounts, and an independent forecast source. To use OWM you need your own API key: 1. Create an account at openweathermap.org and copy the key from the "API keys" tab. A new key can take up to two hours to activate. 2. This face uses the One Call API 3.0. It is NOT part of the basic free plan: in your OWM account, subscribe to "One Call by Call". It includes 1,000 free calls per day - far more than the face uses - but OWM asks for a payment card on file to enable it. 3. Paste the key into the face settings (Weather API Key) and pick the OWM variants of the fields you want. If the key is missing, not yet active or the One Call subscription is not enabled, the OWM fields simply show dashes; the Garmin fields keep working. COLOURS AND OTHER SETTINGS Twenty-four themes, plus Custom with a hex colour for every element. Optional gradient background on AMOLED. Metal hands with a white second hand; hands can be hidden. Weather icons as images or glyphs, wind arrow on the bezel coloured by Beaufort, auto-colour values by threshold, always-on display (time only or full layout), pressure and wind units, English day/month names, secondary time zone. Sleep score and training status need Connect IQ 6.0.2 or later. Position fields and sun/moon times use the last known GPS location.
