Motion Relay brings your workout into the conversation. This Connect IQ data field sends available workout readings from a compatible Garmin watch to the Motion Relay phone app, where you can see supported metrics such as pace, heart rate, distance and elapsed time. We are also testing an optional connection through the separate Motion Relay plugin. When enabled, it provides selected workout readings to ChatGPT, so you can ask for the latest available measurements using text or ChatGPT Voice where available. Whether you run, walk, ride or train in another supported activity, the goal is to make your watch readings easier to access and understand. I'm a runner, and the idea came to me while I was out running and talking with ChatGPT about work and everyday tasks. I wondered: what if I could also ask about the workout I was doing right now? While preparing for a 50K ultramarathon, I experimented with a prototype, bringing together current readings, race information and older running records. The conversation helped me connect my current effort with the challenge ahead. That experience inspired Motion Relay: a new way to use the compatible watch you already own, including supported models that have been with you for years. You may already have the hardware. Now I'm inviting testers to help explore what we can do with it. How the connection works: • The Garmin data field sends available readings to the phone companion. • The companion displays workout readings and manages the optional sharing connection. • ChatGPT access requires the separate Motion Relay plugin and account authorization. Installing the watch data field does not install the phone app or plugin. • Motion Relay provides sharing and disconnect controls, so you can stop the phone from sharing further readings. Missing or stale readings must not be treated as current measurements. • This is informational fitness software, not a medical or emergency service. Privacy and data use: • Sharing uses your Motion Relay account and separate ChatGPT authorization. • The live relay does not include GPS tracks or precise coordinates. • Motion Relay does not sell workout data or use it for targeted advertising. • Readings sent to ChatGPT are handled under your ChatGPT account settings and OpenAI's applicable terms. • Read the Motion Relay privacy policy for account data, retention and deletion details. The watch data field is free. Optional phone subscriptions may be offered later; no payment is collected through this Garmin data field. Once you have phone beta access, pair your watch in Garmin Connect, install this data field and add it to a compatible activity. Open the Motion Relay companion, choose the paired watch and follow its connection instructions.

RB-S13 prioritizes active workout time, distance, heart rate, current pace and average pace in each bounded update. It refreshes staged data after a sending gap and preserves original observation times. Pause time remains separate from active workout time. Other available non-location readings continue to rotate. Pair with the latest Motion Relay phone build; physical beta testing is ongoing. This update excludes Instinct 3 Solar and Instinct E models while their memory compatibility is investigated. Other listed compatible watches remain included. After syncing, check the RB-S13 header on the data field.
