Description

This advanced data field helps you plan long activities and understand your device's power consumption patterns. FEATURES: Real-Time Battery Monitoring Current battery level % Battery drain rate in %/hour Estimated time to empty - time remaining until full discharge Automatic calculations updated continuously during activity Six Display Modes Choose your preferred view through Settings: Battery (Default) - Shows both battery level and drain rate Battery Level Only - Large, clear display of current charge Drain Rate Only - Focus on power consumption rate Time to Empty Only - Estimated time left until the battery fully drains Battery Level + Time to Empty - Current charge and remaining time together Carousel - Automatically cycles through battery level, drain rate, and time to empty, switching every 2 seconds FIT File Integration All battery data is automatically recorded to your activity's FIT file: battery_level field: Current charge percentage battery_drain_rate field: Power consumption rate HOW TO USE: Install the Battery Level Data Field from Connect IQ Store On your device, go to Activity Settings Add "Battery Monitor" to your desired data screen Choose display mode in Data Field Settings (optional) Start your activity and monitor battery in real-time After activity, view battery charts in Garmin Connect TECHNICAL DETAILS: Updates automatically during activity Minimal impact on device battery Compatible with all activity profiles Works alongside other data fields No external sensors required Data synchronized to Garmin Connect TIPS: Battery drain rate becomes more accurate after 5-10 minutes Time to empty is based on your current drain rate, so it becomes more reliable as the activity goes on Use "Carousel" mode to see all metrics on a single data field without manual switching Compare drain rates between activities to optimize settings Use "Level Only" mode during races for quick glances Check FIT file data in Garmin Connect for detailed analysis SUPPORT: For questions, feature requests, or bug reports, please contact through Connect IQ Store or developer mail: [email protected]. donate: https://ko-fi.com/koagarmin/goal?g=1 VERSION HISTORY: v1.1.1 - Carousel Mode Added "Carousel" display mode that automatically cycles through battery level, drain rate, and time to empty every 2 seconds. Battery Time to Empty Added estimated time until full discharge Two new display modes: "Time to Empty Only" and "Battery Level + Time to Empty"

What is new

Version Update Summary New: Carousel Mode Added "Carousel" display mode that automatically cycles through battery level, drain rate, and time to empty every 2 seconds. Battery Time to Empty Added estimated time until full discharge Two new display modes: "Time to Empty Only" and "Battery Level + Time to Empty" New: Added a battery time-to-empty counter - see the estimated time left until your battery fully drains. New Features: Intelligent Battery Tracking with History Added cross-session data accumulation - drain rate calculations now persist across multiple rides Smart memory: automatically stores battery consumption data between activities More accurate drain rate predictions based on accumulated riding data Automatic Reset on Charging Detects when device is charged (battery level increase 1%) Automatically resets accumulated data to ensure accuracy No manual intervention required Enhanced Drain Rate Display Shows historical drain rate from previous rides during first 2 minutes Seamlessly transitions to live calculation after sufficient data Provides instant feedback even at ride start Memory Protection Built-in 20-hour accumulation limit prevents memory overflow Automatic cleanup ensures optimal device performance Minimal storage footprint (~16 bytes) Simplified Configuration Removed shifting-related features (focus on battery monitoring) Streamlined interface with 3 display modes Always-on FIT file recording for both battery level and drain rate Technical Improvements: Optimized lifecycle methods (onTimerStart/Stop/Reset) Enhanced data persistence using Properties API Improved calculation accuracy with accumulated statistics Better handling of edge cases (charging during ride, negative drain) Display Modes: Both Values - Battery % + Drain Rate %/h Battery Only - Large battery percentage display Drain Rate Only - Large drain rate display -----------------
