Description

A digital sport face built around a big techno clock. The time sits in a softly lit centre band, framed by a progress track around the edge, two block gauges at the sides and three windows. Every field shows the data you choose. FEATURES • A large, wide clock in a constructed techno typeface • Four readouts, two above the time and two below, each any of 20 values: steps, calories, heart rate, Body Battery, stress, floors, intensity minutes, battery, Pulse Ox, recovery time, altitude, pressure, temperature, sunrise, sunset, the next sun event, distance today, weekly run or bike distance, or sleep score. The two above the time also show the date, month, day of the week or week number (date and month by default) • An outer progress track with fine ticks in your track colour, marking each hour reached: steps against your goal by default, or Body Battery, intensity minutes, floors, battery, stress, Pulse Ox or sleep score • Two block gauges at 9 and 3 with an icon each, for any of the track's values: battery and weekly intensity minutes by default • Two windows at 10:30 and 1:30 for the weekday, date, month, week number, distance today, weekly run or bike distance, sunrise, sunset or most readout values • A window at 6 o'clock with a value inside its range: temperature within today's low and high, heart rate since midnight, or altitude and pressure over the last 24 hours • A centre band lit by two soft glows, a flat band, or no band • Nine track colours (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Purple, Pink, White) and eight value colours (White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Pink, Green, Cyan, Blue) • On Venu X1 the face fills the whole rectangular screen: track and ring follow the edge, gauges run up the sides, windows sit in the corners and along the bottom • Always-on mode for AMOLED: the time in outline, weekday, date and hour marks, shifted every minute to protect the display • 12 or 24 hour, metric or statute, as your watch is set SETTINGS On fēnix 8, fēnix 8 Pro, fēnix 9, fēnix 9 Pro, tactix 8, quatix 8, Forerunner 970 and Venu X1, use Garmin's watch face editor: hold MENU, Watch Face, PADDOCK. Data sets all ten fields. Styles sets the band, Accent colour the track, Data colour the values. Above the time, Date shows the day on the left and the month on the right. The editor has no setting for distance today or the week number, so the 1:30 window starts on weekly run distance; Customize, in the same menu, can set any field to what the editor cannot (distance today, week number, off), or leave it as set in the editor. The Connect IQ app has the same. On epix Pro, quatix 7 Pro, D2 Mach 1 Pro, tactix 7, Venu 3 and Descent, every setting is under Watch Face, PADDOCK, Customize, and in the Connect IQ app; the 1:30 window starts on distance today. REQUIREMENTS AND NOTES • fēnix 8 (43, 47 and 51 mm AMOLED), tactix 8 and quatix 8 (47 and 51 mm), fēnix 8 Pro and quatix 8 Pro (47 mm, 51 mm and MicroLED), fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro (43, 47 and 51 mm AMOLED), Forerunner 970, epix Pro (Gen 2) 42, 47 and 51 mm, quatix 7 Pro, D2 Mach 1 Pro, tactix 7 AMOLED Edition, Venu 3, Venu X1, Descent Mk3 43 mm, Descent Mk3i 43 and 51 mm • Values your watch does not report to watch faces show as -- • Weather, sunrise and sunset need a connected phone or a GPS fix; until then they show as -- • Where space is tight, a long label is shortened (HR, ACTIVE, BARO...), a wide value is set smaller, and a unit is left out PRIVACY PADDOCK does not collect, store or send any data. Location and health values are read and shown on the watch only.

What is new

Fixed: the face could crash when the watch ran short of graphics memory. It now uses far less of it and keeps working if memory runs out.
