htop puts the header of the classic htop system monitor on your wrist. Four live meter bars show how your body is doing, with your date, a large time and the next sun event on a black background that is easy to read and gentle on the battery. WHAT YOU SEE BB – Body Battery. Your energy level, 0 to 100. Green means 50 or more, amber 25 to 49, red under 25. STR – Stress. Your current stress level, 0 to 100. Green means 25 or less, amber 26 to 50, red above 50. Lower is better. INT – Weekly intensity minutes. The minutes you have trained this week, with the bar showing progress toward your weekly goal. STP – Steps. Today's steps, with the bar showing progress toward your daily step goal. Counts over 999 are shown as 8.4k. Load – Your current heart rate (hr) and your recovery time (rec) in hours. "0h" means you are fully recovered. Uptime – The next sun event. By day, a down arrow and the time of sunset. After sunset, an up arrow and the time of the next sunrise. Next to it is your watch battery in days (bat). Date and time – The date on top and a large 24-hour clock below it. HOW THE BARS WORK Each bar has 19 cells. Body Battery and Stress fill by their value from 0 to 100. Intensity minutes and Steps fill by the percentage of your goal and stop when the bar is full. Health bars change colour, so you can read your state at a glance. Progress bars are always cyan, because reaching a goal is progress, not a health warning. If the watch has no data for a value, the face shows "null" in grey and the bar is empty. It never shows an error. SETTINGS Time colour: White (default), Cyan, Green, Amber or Red. White is the default because green, amber and red already carry meaning on the bars. Change it in the Garmin Connect phone app under Connect IQ, My Watch Faces, htop, Settings. BATTERY AND PRIVACY The face redraws once a minute, with no seconds and no animation, and makes no network requests. It only reads data already measured on your watch (body battery, stress, heart rate, recovery time, sun times, steps, intensity minutes and battery). It stores nothing and sends nothing.
