SETTINGS ON THE WATCH Hold UP, pick Watch Face, select Retro Tile, press START, then Customize. The menu is drawn in the style of the face: a short How it works guide, the hour style, the colour with a live preview, the three data slots, the date window, 12 or 24-hour digits, the hour change animation and the always-on brightness. The same settings are in Garmin Connect if you prefer the phone. A 70S ANALOG WATCH A thin polished steel rim, a round pastel chapter ring with baton markers, a deeper dial and two silver baton hands with a ridge down the middle. Behind the hands, the hour is shown big, domed as if under a bubble glass. THREE HOUR STYLES Mosaic: the whole dial is tiled, and the tiles of the hour change colour. Stripes: big striped digits, like 70s record sleeves and racing stripes. Drums: two rolling drums, like a mechanical counter, with a glimpse of the digits before and after. THE HOUR CHANGES The first time you look at your watch after the hour changes, the tiles flip over in a wave, the stripes redraw from left to right, or the drums roll. You can switch it off in the menu. YOUR DATA, OR NONE Up to three small plates under the hour. Pick what each one shows: steps, heart rate, watch battery, Body Battery, calories, floors, distance, intensity minutes, notifications or temperature, or nothing at all for a clean dial. If your watch has no value, it shows -- rather than a made-up number. Nothing leaves the watch. TEN COLOURS Ice blue, lilac, red, mint, sand, orange, coral, butter, navy and black. Each one sets the chapter ring, the dial and the hour together. OPTIONS Date window at 3 o'clock, on or off. Hour digits like your watch, or always 24-hour, or always 12-hour. ALWAYS-ON A separate always-on design on a black screen: the outline of the ring, the markers, the hands and the hour drawn thin and grey in your style. It shifts slightly every minute to protect the screen. A brighter option is in the menu. Compatible with the Garmin AMOLED watches listed on this page. English only.
