Calorie Calculator accurately determines the amount of calories you need each day to maintain your weight, also called your Total Daily Energy Expenditure, or TDEE. This is determined using your current weight, height and age from your Garmin profile details. To adjust your TDEE, you can choose your activity level and your desired progress level in the settings menu.
This app is packed with information and features. You can also track your daily macro level by entering your carbohydrate, fat and protein goals in the settings menu. Then each day, log your calories and macros for up to six meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
At the beginning of each day, you will see a visual indication of the amount of calories you eat each day and the amount remaining by the green background. As you log your food, this green level will decrease then turn orange after you eat over 65% of your calories, then red after you've eaten over 80% of your calories. At the end of each day, the calories and macros reset for the day, fresh to add the new day's log.
Your BMI and body fat percentage is displayed, which is also calculated using your current weight, height, gender and birth year which is taken from your Garmin profile.
The weight unit is also taken from your Garmin profile (pounds or kg). The weight goal will also be displayed once it is entered in the app settings, and this can be entered in either pounds or kg, depending on your unit.
It is necessary to open the app whenever new weight information is entered in your profile, so that the TDEE and next notification time is updated. You will get a notification reminder at 10 am each morning to open the app if you choose to have it displayed.
Features:-
- Add your weight goal in the app settings.
- Choose your current activity and progress goal.
- Choose to display either calories left, calorie breakdown or weight progress to goal.
- Background, foreground and line colour configuration. Date format options.
If you have any issues, PLEASE visit, and carefully read, my FAQ page first (https://www.bvdesigns.info/faq) and follow the advice and instructions given before using the "Contact Developer" link - most of the answers to your questions should be there. If contact is made first and the answer is already there, you will be referred back to the FAQ page. Your co-operation on this would be most greatly appreciated.

**Note on colours: Due to the display technology, some of the Garmin system colours may look muted on actual devices. You will not be able to see things on your device as they are on a computer, due to different technologies for the Garmin device display, and different monitors on the computer which host the simulator.**
