Time runs backwards here. The hands turn the opposite way from an ordinary watch, and the Roman numerals follow them: I sits to the left of XII, XI to its right. Reading the time takes a moment at first, then becomes a habit, then becomes the pleasure of watching someone else try it. The artwork belongs to the Mad Hatter's tea party, drawn in the spirit of Tenniel's engravings: the top hat with its 10/6 ticket, the teapots, the cups, the playing cards, the sleeping dormouse. The hour hand is the hat, the minute hand a teaspoon. VI is gold, because it is always tea time. The day of the month sits on the IX side, like the watch the Hatter consults to find out what day it is. What the face shows: hours and minutes in Roman numerals engraved into the artwork, crisp on every screen; a second hand while the watch is awake; the day of the month; a larger layout on screens of 280 pixels and below; no permissions requested, no data sent, nothing to configure. The face runs in full for 24 hours of use. After that the artwork fills with hatching and a banner shows your watch identifier. The time stays readable; the face simply becomes unpleasant to look at. The code is tied to your watch: it works on that watch only, and it does not expire. If you change watch, send me the new identifier and I will issue the matching code at no further cost. Codes are sent by hand, so allow a few hours. If a code does not work, I will replace it. There are no refunds, by design: the 24-hour trial is a gift, the whole face, nothing asked in return. You know before you pay whether the face is for you.
