Description

The full version of Flipper: a vintage instrument panel with a split-flap clock, now yours to set up. A split-flap flip clock fills the left of the face, hours and minutes on stacked cards with the hinge gap running through them, the weekday and date on an enamel bar beneath with the day number on a red inlay and the month on an ivory plaque. A seconds sub-dial counts the minute out beside them, graduations relighting as it fills - switch it off if you would rather have the quiet face. Around the rim, two graduated gauges track what matters: step goal above, battery below, each with a 0-100 scale and a fine needle. Four wedges carry steps, distance, body battery and heart rate, labelled in curved type that follows the dial. Body battery can take the lower gauge instead, with the battery moving to its wedge, and the distance wedge can show stress or last night's sleep score. Current temperature sits in the recessed centre well with a weather glyph beside it - sun, moon, or either behind cloud - picked from real sunrise and sunset for your location. THE LOOK The dial is built like a 1950s instrument panel: aged enamel gauge faces with printed scales and a red low-battery zone, set behind a ribbed black crinkle-finish fascia with polished trim rings, painted labels and slotted screws. Everything casts its own shadow - the fascia into the gauges, the flip cards onto the panel. Every colour below is rendered in that finish, white as old ivory. WHAT PRO ADDS Twenty-four combinations of card and gauge colour, against one fixed look in the standard version. Gauge colour: gold, white, orange, red, purple, magenta, blue or green. Eight, not five. Seconds dial you can turn on or off, and clock digits you can make as large as the cards hold. Choose what the dial reads: body battery on the lower gauge, and stress or sleep score in place of distance. BUILT SO IT CANNOT LOOK WRONG Only the surfaces are settable. Every ink and needle is matched to the colour you pick - cream print on the dark enamels, black on the light ones, light digits on dark cards and dark on ivory. There is no combination of settings that produces text you cannot read, which is the reason the palette is a list rather than a colour wheel. Always-on is a separate dimmed frame, measured against the display luminance limit so it stays lit instead of blanking after a few seconds. SETTINGS Flip clock and date colour: slate, black or white. The four data wedges follow it. Gauge colour: gold, white, orange, red, purple, magenta, blue or green Clock size: standard, or maximum to fill the flip cards Seconds dial: on or off Bottom gauge: battery (body battery in its wedge) or body battery (battery in its wedge) Distance window: distance, stress or sleep score Weather: show or hide the temperature and weather icon Temperature units: follow the watch, Celsius or Fahrenheit Time format follows the watch's own 12/24-hour setting - anything the watch already knows is taken from the watch rather than asked again here.
