Description

This widget combines 3 of my other widgets in a single display. It shows OS grid reference, magnetic declination and altitude for the current location. The originals are OS Grid Reference (https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/10473162-3729-40e9-9a72-b7c16528c758), Magnetic Declination (https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/9869a30a-8da7-41b5-99b4-3f11e6c7089a) and Simply Altitude (https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/a62e9023-0f2e-42c1-80e2-0cb12df2b6d1). By default, as soon as the widget has a good GPS fix it will show a one-off snapshot of its values. This is to save the battery. Press START (or tap the screen on touch -sensitive watches) to continuously update the display until the widget times out. This mode is shown on the screen by * next to the title. Press again to return to snapshot mode. As with the OS Grid Reference widget you can choose the number of digits to be displayed but in this case the font and layout are fixed. You can set the units for the altitude display separately from the watch’s overall settings. Please remember, the widget takes its altitude value directly from the watch sensor. Even if it is badly calibrated or completely wrong that is what will be shown. This is a device issue, the widget can do nothing about it. Please see the descriptions of the originals for further information and acknowledgements. The widget has been tested on a vívoactive® HR, a Forerunner 255, a fēnix® 5X and other devices in the simulator. Please contact me directly if you have any problems, comments or requests. Don’t forget to include your email address if you’d like a reply. Thank you @Andrew for requesting this widget and for helping test it.
