The tide on its beach is your Body Battery: after a good night the sea is up at the foot of the dune; as the day spends your energy the water draws back and the sand widens. You read it the way you read a real shore, and a small legend underneath says what the tide is measuring and how far it has come in. The dune holds four readings for a calmer day: stress, heart rate, the weather, and the next sunrise or sunset, each marked by its icon. Battery and alerts sit with the date at the top. The sky follows the sun: dawn after sunrise, a soft blue day, dusk before sunset, and after dark Måne, the moon over the water in its real phase with its path of light on the sea. Or keep one of five skies: dawn, day, dusk, Måne or pearl. The numerals are Fraunces, a soft serif. On memory-in-pixel screens every sky is drawn for 64 colours, dithered by hand; on AMOLED it is a smooth gradient. The always-on mode keeps the horizon, the tide line and the time.
