Description
Dash is a custom data field for Garmin Edge devices, built using Garmin's Connect IQ platform. It provides advanced cycling metrics and background services to enhance your ride experience.
What is new
New
- More supported devices: Edge 1060, 530, 540, 550, 830, 840 and 850. The smaller 246x322 screens get a compact layout built for them.
- Smoother speed gauge: segments fill partway to match your actual speed instead of jumping between whole steps.
- Average and max speed markers on the speed gauge: orange shows average, green shows max. You can turn them off in settings.
- Zone-coloured HR and power gauges, Z1 (blue) to Z5 (red). HR zones come from your Garmin profile. Power zones come from your FTP: the profile value first, then the new FTP setting.
- Speed gauge max setting sets the gauge's full scale. 0 keeps the default of 60 km/h or 40 mph.
Improved
- If a heart rate monitor, power meter, cadence sensor or temperature reading drops out, the field shows -- instead of freezing the last value.
- Settings changes such as FTP take effect immediately, without re-adding the data field.
- Temperature works better on devices that don't report it directly, and uses less battery.
- Fixed FTP on the Edge 1030 Plus, and a possible crash at ride start when FTP was 0.
- Removed unused permissions, so the store listing asks for less.
