Popis

Info Keeper is a Garmin Connect IQ watch application built to keep small, frequently-needed pieces of personal information available directly on the wrist, without needing to unlock and dig through a phone. The app is organized around user-defined categories, each holding a set of label/value entries — things like access codes, membership numbers, emergency contacts, or any other short reference data the user wants close at hand. It targets touchscreen Garmin devices only (Approach, D2, and similar product families), since the interface relies on tap-based navigation to browse and select categories and entries. Over time the app has grown well beyond simple flat storage. It now supports full-text search across all saved categories and entries so users can jump straight to what they need instead of scrolling; favorites, which let users pin frequently-used categories or entries, reorder them with a custom sort, and have them visually highlighted in both the category list and search results; and data export, so information can be backed up or moved off the watch. Categories created directly on the watch — as opposed to pre-seeded via the companion configuration — can additionally be locked behind a PIN, protecting sensitive entries in case the device is lost, shared, or borrowed. A distinctive feature of the app is its built-in school/lesson timetable, ported from a standalone "School-timetable" Garmin widget so a category can represent a full weekly class schedule instead of plain label/value items. A timetable defines a shared sequence of lesson periods (with start and end times and optional breaks), the specific days on which school/lessons occur, and the subjects assigned to each period on each active day. On the watch, a dedicated TimetableView and DayListView let the user browse the schedule day by day and period by period, automatically opening to "today, current or next period" so the most relevant information is always the first thing shown; if the current day has no more periods, or isn't a school day at all, the view intelligently jumps ahead to the next active day. Timetable data can be authored either through an on-device editor or pre-loaded via a compact seed format (including a base36-encoded "v2" encoding to keep seed strings short), and — like other watch-created categories — a timetable can also be PIN-protected.
